Wrath of Z - Adventures in WoLK #1

For my MR Lovies who are spread across the universe with crapola internet and an inability to visit the MoonRaven forum. I will be reposting my antics here.

Most of you have had the pleasure of making my gaming acquaintance, and won't expect anything different from moi. Those who don't may be extremely disappointed, but hopefully at least mildly entertained.

As I prepare to share my Wrath experience, I just wanted to remind you all that, although I am a dedicated gamer...

I'm easily distracted by shinnies.
I love to dance naked for coins.
Gear should be color coordinated at all times.

Day One (not counting the 2 it took to download)

Took me almost 48 hours to actually get to play. Within an hour of getting all the stuff d/l'd, they went down for a patch hehe The joys of beta!!

My Mod whore self is playing Mod free. Major enviro shock for me! I had forgotten what the basic layout looked like.

My Toons: 70 Lock 56 Shaman (char tran)
56 DeathKnight Draenei

Soon they are opening up the premade option. So I can create a lvl 80 toon and check out the end game stuff.


DK's start at lvl 55. All races have the DK option. They come with green gear no weapon and 20S. Not even enough to buy a cup o coffee. Broke, unarmed but damn are they schexxy. Oh and I came able to make mageweave bandaids. came in handy as noted below Smile

I was a bit confused...err more overwhelmed at first. The mechanism of play is different. You have to gain rune power like a warrior does rage which then triggers some of your power spells. But there are also 3 schools of magic you draw from. (blood, unholy and i forget the blue one)

Took me a death(S) to figure out how it worked. But upon death an angel came to me and offered to rezz me, telling me my time had not come. Very nice noob area feature. Hope mine follows me out of noob area.

The quests have been pretty straight forward. Some of them grant you an extra talent point. I had 4 or 5 talent points before I dinged 56. Which took me less then 2 hours to do. Weapon, runeforging and some decent upgrade stuff on the starter quests. I got to steal a horse hehe By the time I dinged, I had 8G just from quests and kills. Didn't last long once i trained though.

The action bar changes, which freaked me out. When your mounted, your dismount option is on your main bottom action bar. There is a quest that threw me into shadow form, and my action bar changed. Once you know to pay attention to that, it helps making staying alive easier.

I haven't checked out any of the achievement stuff yet. But you recieve tokens for meeting certain achievements. Just don't ask me what the tokens are for yet. I know you get awards for things like completing 500 quests, becoming honored with 5 different factions, reaching artisan in 2 professions. Killing certain bosses. just a few that come to mind.

The realm with Northrend has been down a bit, so I haven't gotten to take my lock there yet. I did however make it to the barber shop in SW for a haircut and an ear lift on my shammy. Very expensive. Think it was 6G, but a girls gotta keep herself well groomed ya know. I went blonde. I hear they have more fun.
