Heat Wave Cleanin

Been doing a bit of cleanin up on my web haunts. Think I am finally content with my redecorating in here. It is a bit more fitting and girly. And don't forget purple.

I decided to revamp my photo album yesterday. I have had several of my Florida friends hunt me down lately. Nice to know they are thinking about us. Everyone is askin for pictures. I was not happy with the way the photo blog worked. I couldn't make albums and the uploading was time consuming and tedious. So I did a bit of research and found a software program and got it uploaded yesterday. I like it. Its a bit boring, but the functionality is nice. I know from experience, if something takes too much time, I won't bother keeping it up to date. With this software, I can post pictures directly from my desktop. So maybe just maybe *fingers crossed* I will use it.

I made a new blog category. SCvsFL It is going to be dedicated to all the things I find different between FL and SC. I'm not comparing to find the better. It just has been very interesting to see how everyday things are handled differently only a few hundred miles away.

Todays edition pertains to the weather. It is hot here. It is hot in Florida. By hot I am referring to when the temp and the humidity are above 90 making the heat index (feels like temp) over 100.

In Florida a heat index over 100 is the difference between a t-shirt and a tank top. They have months on end of this type weather, and really just goes unnoticed by most including the weatherman. In South Carolina a heat index over 100 calls for a heat advisory warning and the weatherman gets all excited. They warn folks to stay indoors and drink lots of water.

Not sure why I found this so amusing. Maybe because to me the weather here has been a nice change. It is hot, but not so surface of the sun hot.
